Tolbert has worked in the mortgage industry since 1985 on the Mid Shore. Prior to becoming Vice President at Bay Capital Mortgage, Tolbert was President of Community Bank Mortgage, a partnership with Provident State Bank.
Tolbert’s experience of providing mortgage advice and services to bank customers gives him a unique ability to find mortgage solutions to complex lending situations. He spends the time to listen to each borrower’s goal so as to advise the best mortgage program for their needs.
Tolbert has extensive experience working with first-time buyers and takes great pride in working with those who initially are not qualified but by counseling and coaching is able to get them to the point where they are able to enjoy their dream of homeownership.
Tolbert is an active Real Estate investor and speaks with first hand knowledge about investing in residential real estate...Buying, Selling, and Managing.
Tolbert is very active in his community as he currently serves as President of Channel Marker, Inc., Board Member of United Way of Caroline County, Junior Achievement of the Eastern Shore, Caroline Education Fund and Mid- Shore Community Foundation. He also is a coach for Special Olympics Basketball, Kayaking and a Unified Golf partner with his daughter Kelsey. Tolbert is also a dedicated platelet pheresis donor and blood bank advocate having donated more than 150 times in the last 20 years. He previously served for 18 years on the Caroline County the Caroline County Board of Education and was President of Maryland Association of Boards of Education in 2018-2019.
Tolbert is a lifelong Eastern Shoreman and lives in Greensboro with his wife Jeanne and daughter Kelsey.
