RICHIE WHEATLEY

Richie Wheatley is a seasoned Mortgage Banker with over 30 years of experience in the industry.  He began his career in 1990 and spent two decades at JP Mortgage Chase, where he earned recognition as a top performer in originations, achieving Leaders Club status for 16 consecutive years.  In addition, Mortgage Originator Magazine named him one of the Top 200 Loan Officers in the country in both 2003 and 2004.

In 2010, Richie became a Partner with Bay Capital Mortgage, where he currently holds the title of Senior Vice President.  He is known for his expertise in first-time home buyer programs, including USDA, FHA and conventional financing, and has helped many Veterans achieve home-ownership through the VA program.  Richie has also assisted numerous second home buyers in realizing their dream of owning a waterfront home on the Eastern Shore of Maryland.

Richie is not only a respected professional in the mortgage industry but also an active member of his community.  He served as President of the Rotary Club of Easton and was instrumental in forming the Talbot Optimist Club, where he served as the Charter President in 1994.   He currently serves on the Rotary Club’s Youth and Community Fund Board, delivers meals monthly for those in need through Meals on Wheels and umpires for High School and Little League Baseball.

Richie’s dedication to his profession and community is also evident in his teaching of accredited classes for the Mid Shore Board of Realtors and his participation as panelist at past Annual Maryland Mortgage Bankers Association meetings.  He earned his Business Administration degree from McDaniel College in 1987 and was part of the Shore Leadership Class of 2012.

Richie and his wife Martha are proud parents of five children and enjoy living in Easton, MD. He remains committed to helping clients achieve their homeownership dreams and is always ready to offer his expertise in the mortgage industry.
